ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ-ਜਲੰਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। 


ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਤੱਕ ਦੋ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ-ਜਲੰਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਲਾਈਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

ਇਹ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਬਣਨ ਨਾਲ ਰੇਲ ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿਰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਟਰੇਨਾਂ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਢੁਕਵਾਂ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਜੰਮੂ ਤੱਕ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੋ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਟਰੇਨਾਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਟਰੇਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵੱਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਨੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਤਾਵ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਤਹਿਤ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ-ਜਲੰਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਲਗਭਗ 153 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਰਵੇਖਣ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪੀ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਾਰਜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।

ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਡੀਸੀ ਦਫ਼ਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੀਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ। ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਕਾਰੀ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਤੱਕ ਦੋ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ-ਜਲੰਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਧੂ ਲਾਈਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਰੇਲ ਆਵਾਜਾਈ ਸੁਚਾਰੂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ, ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਯਾਤਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਲਾਭ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।

ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਬਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਡੀਸੀ ਅਜੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਮਰ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਨ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਪਸੀ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਜਨ ਸਿਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਟਰੈਕ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਾਈਪ ਲਾਈਨਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਅਸਰ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ।


Two new railway lines will be laid from Delhi to Ambala, and a new railway line will also be constructed from Ambala to Ludhiana-Jalandhar (land acquisition). The Railway has developed this plan, and as part of this scheme, land acquisition and other related tasks will be carried out.


The construction of these three new railway lines will not only enable trains to run on time but will also create the necessary infrastructure for their operation. Currently, there are two railway lines from Delhi to Jammu via Ambala. Trains are already operating on these lines. As the number of trains continues to increase, the Railway has prepared a proposal for the new railway line based on this growth.


As part of this project, a survey of approximately 153 kilometers, covering the route from Delhi to Ambala and then from Ambala to Ludhiana-Jalandhar, was conducted. A detailed report was prepared and sent to the Railway, which was subsequently approved. To implement this plan on the ground, the help of the Ambala administration is being sought to ensure that the work of laying the new railway lines can begin as soon as the land is acquired.


A meeting regarding the proposed new railway lines was held on Wednesday at the DC's office. The meeting was attended by the DC and Railway officials. During the meeting, Nirmal Singh, the Executive Engineer of the Railway Department's Construction Wing, explained that there is a proposal to lay two new railway lines from Delhi to Ambala, and the construction of a third additional railway line from Ambala to Ludhiana-Jalandhar is also planned. He mentioned that the establishment of these new lines would ease the movement of trains. The Ambala-Ludhiana-Jalandhar track would benefit passengers from Ambala, Patiala, Fatehgarh, Ludhiana, Kapurthala, and Jalandhar.


During the meeting, Ambala's DC, Ajay Singh Tomar, instructed the relevant authorities to collaborate closely with the Railway and other concerned departments for tasks such as land acquisition. He also emphasized that the departments responsible for public health, electricity, and other services should ensure that the construction of the track does not disrupt any pipelines or other infrastructure in the area.
