ਮਾਡਲ ਥਾਣਾ ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ ਦੀ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ-ਸਾਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਹਨੀ ਟਰੈਪ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਿਰੋਹ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। 


ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਡੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ. ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ ਓਂਕਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਰਾੜ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਗਰੂਪ ਸਿੰਘ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ (ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ) ਦਾ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਹ ਮੋਗਾ ਦੀ ਐੱਚ.ਡੀ.ਐੱਫ.ਸੀ. ਬੈਂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

1 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਫੋਨ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਨ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਇਹ ਔਰਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿੰਡ ਸਲੈਚਾਂ ਵਿਖੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਗਈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਰਦ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹ-ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਇੱਕ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਉਤਾਰੇ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਪੀਟ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੰਗਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਸ਼/ਲੀਲ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਬਣਾਈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਖੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਲਟਾ ਲਟਕਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। 

ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਉ/ਤਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਲੈ/ਕਮੇਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਇਰਾਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਅਸ਼/ਲੀਲ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਬਣਵਾਈ। ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਉਣ-ਧਮਕਾਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਏ.ਟੀ.ਐੱਮ. ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੈਡਿਟ ਕਾਰਡ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੈਂਕ ਖਾਤੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 90 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਨਿਕਲਵਾਏ ਗਏ। ਨਾਲ ਹੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੈਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੈੱਕ ਬੁੱਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਖਾਲੀ ਚੈੱਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਦਸਤਖਤ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ।

ਕਰੀਬ ਚਾਰ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੀੜਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਧਕ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਪੀਟ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਸਮਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਮਾਨਿਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਘਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਸ਼/ਲੀਲ ਵੀਡੀਓ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ ’ਤੇ ਵਾਇਰਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। 

ਡੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤ ਡਰਿਆ-ਸਹਿਮਿਆ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਯੋਗ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਡਾਕਟਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਸਖਤ ਧਾਰਾਵਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਕੇਸ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਪੁਲਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ (ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਲੈਚਾਂ), ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਕੌਰ (ਪਤਨੀ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ), ਦਿਲਬਾਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ਼ ਭੁੱਲਰ (ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗੁਰਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕੋਟ ਈਸੇ ਖਾਂ), ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਨ (ਪਤਨੀ ਬਲਕਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਬਠਿੰਡਾ) ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ 10,200 ਰੁਪਏ, ਤਿੰਨ ਮੋਬਾਇਲ ਫੋਨ, ਇੱਕ ਕਾਰ (ਕਰੋਲਾ), ਇੱਕ ਐਕਟਿਵਾ, ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਲਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਡੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ. ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਿਲਬਾਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜੁਰਮ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਤ ’ਤੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।

ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ. ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਰਕ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਰੱਖੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਆਫ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪਿੰਡੀ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿਰਫ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਖਤ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੁਰਮ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਓ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਪੁਲਸ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੱਕ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।

SSP Harwinder Singh Virk stated that they had already issued orders that those involved in wrongdoing would not be spared at any cost. He emphasized that there is no place for criminals in rural areas, and this is just the beginning—strict actions will continue to be taken in the coming days. SSP Harwinder Singh Virk further warned that people should abandon wrongful acts, or the police would apprehend them and throw them in jail.

The police took action and arrested Charanjit Singh, son of Amar Singh, resident of Salaichan; Gurbaksh Kaur, wife of Charanjit Singh; Dilbagh Singh alias Bhullar, son of Gurnam Singh, resident of Kot Ise Khan; and Kiran, wife of Balkar Singh, resident of Bathinda. From them, the police recovered 10,200 rupees, three mobile phones, a Toyota Corolla car, an Activa scooter, and other items. The accused were presented in court, and a remand is being obtained. It was revealed that Dilbagh Singh had previously committed a similar crime and was released on bail a few months ago.

DSP Shahkot Onkar Singh Brar informed that the victim, frightened and shaken, reached home and, the next day, accompanied by respected village members, underwent a medical examination before informing the police. Following this, the police registered a case under serious sections and initiated a preliminary investigation.

The gang kept the victim hostage for about four hours, beating him and taking his personal belongings into their possession. They humiliated him, threw him out of the house, and threatened him that if he reported it to the police, they would make his obs/cene video viral.

One of the women present in the house also removed her clo/thes and forcibly made an obsc/ene video with the intent to blackmail him. They threatened him, took his ATM and credit card from his wallet, withdrew 90,000 rupees from his bank account, and forced him to sign two blank cheques from his chequebook after taking it from his bag.

On April 1, 2025, he received a call from a woman regarding a loan, asking him to come to Shahkot as she wanted to avail of one. The woman, posing as a customer, took him to her house in Salaichan village, where three other women and three men were already present. They asked him about tea or water, then locked him in a room, forcibly removed his clothes, beat him, stripped him naked, made an obscene video, and hung him upside down from a fan.

While providing details, DSP Shahkot Onkar Singh Brar and Inspector Balwinder Singh Bhullar said that Jagraup Singh, son of Shinder Singh, resident of Zira, Firozpur district, informed the police. He works in the loan department of HDFC Bank in Moga.
